This week...

Worship on this third Sunday in Lent begins at 10:30 am.  Lent is a time of reflection on Who God is and who we are.  The message based in I Corinthians 7:17-24 is titled THE POWER OF THE COMMON MAN.  Often people feel that they need to be someone special to serve the Lord.  The fact is all are special, designed that way  by our Heavenly Father, Who created us.  Some facts from the life of William Wilberforce will  underscore these truths.

Fellowship dinner follows the morning worship service.  At the close of the meal the congregation holds its annual meeting.

Midweek Fellowship is Tuesday at 7:00 pm.

The third of the Community Lenten services is Wednesday evening, 7:00 pm at the United Lutheran Presbyterian Church.

Bible hour is held at Alpine Rehabilitation Center on Thursday evening at 6:30 pm.

THE LAST SIN EATER is the movie to be shown at the DCF Movie Night, Friday March 12th at 6:30 pm  All are welcome at all events.

Scripture Reading for Sunday

1 Corinthians 7:17-24

But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.

Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised.

Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.

For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
